On July 6th, Executive Chef and Restaurateur Brian Clevenger opened his newest restaurant, Autumn, in Seattle’s Phinney Ridge neighborhood.

“We’re so excited to be opening a space in Phinney Ridge. We’re big fans of the neighborhood and have had a goal to serve that community for a while now,” said Chef Clevenger. “This restaurant will be similar to our others in terms of style and overall menu, and will also offer chef tasting menus.”

Founded by Chef Clevenger in 2015, General Harvest is a restaurant group operating spaces throughout Seattle. Establishments include the award winning Vendemmia, Raccolto, Haymaker East and West, G.H. Pasta Co., and East Anchor Seafood. The restaurant group has received local and national accolades and has been featured in publications and broadcasts locally and across the country.

As the newest member of General Harvest, Autumn stays true to what Chef Clevenger does best, offering a selection of handmade pastas, fresh local vegetables, and a variety of seafood dishes. Serving up plates such as Salmon Crudo with turmeric, caperberry, and giardinera; Smoked Carrots with harissa, dill, and hazelnut (a personal favorite of mine!); and Panisse with comte and black garlic aioli; everything on the menu is sure to please.

In addition, Chef Clevenger will expand the entrée selection to include items such as Duck Breast with sunchoke, apples and bee’s wax; Lamb Shoulder with olive, saffron, and flat bread; and Prime New York Steak with wild mushrooms, fava bean, and crouton. Be sure to try a pasta dish (or two!) as well. I would go back just for the delicious dish that is Fusilli with prawns, white wine, and chili.

The name Autumn is a nod to “the most sought after and bountiful harvest of the year,” which couldn’t be more fitting. Every dish that we ordered was full of fresh and seasonal ingredients.

The space seats 39 and offers additional patio seating for up to 16. Similar to Chef Clevenger’s Haymaker restaurants, Autumn will provide chefs a platform to provide menu items focused on American fare.

Autumn’s bar features hand-crafted signature cocktails, which highlight spirits from local distilleries and around the world. There is also a wide selection of local and domestic beers, and a substantial wine list including a number of Italian, French, and Pacific Northwest winemakers.

In the kitchen alongside Chef Clevenger will be Chef Nick Chiaro, who previously spent time as a sous chef at Canlis, and a number of award-winning restaurants including Parallel 37 in San Francisco and Public restaurant in New York City.

Autumn is located at 6727 Greenwood Ave N. and open daily from 5:00 – 10:00pm, with happy hour deals from 5:00 – 6:00 pm. You can find them on Instagram at @autumnseattle.
