The HPESmart Array E208-a controller provides enterprise-class reliability, security and energy efficiency needed to address most small to medium sized businesses. The E208i-a controller has eight internal SAS lanes, which support SAS and SATA drives. This type-a flexible/modular controller does not take up a PCIe expansion slot. The HPE Smart Array E208i-a SR Gen10 Controller supports 12 Gb/s SAS and PCIe 3.0. This cost-effective solution for RAID 0, 1, 5, and 10 and Software RAID operates in Mixed Mode which combines RAID and HBA. The E208i-a controller offers encryption for any drive with HPE Smart Array SR Secure Encryption. This type-a flexible/modular controller does not take up a PCIe expansion slot.
